The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met in camera at 10:04 a.m., this day, in room 705, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Donald H. Oliver, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Carstairs, P.C., Comeau, Cools, Day, Downe, Harb, Murray, P.C., Oliver and Ringuette (9).
In attendance: Guy Beaumier and Odette Madore, Research Officers, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, the committee continued its consideration of the examination of the Supplementary Estimates (A) laid before Parliament for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005. (For complete text of the Order of Reference, please see Issue No. 3 of the proceedings of the committee.)
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(f), the committee considered its draft report on the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2004-2005.
It was moved by the Honourable Senator Day:
That the draft report be adopted as the report of the committee on the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2004- 2005; and
That the steering committee be empowered to approve the final version of the report with any necessary editorial, grammatical or translation changes as deemed advisable.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
At 10:40 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, the committee continued its consideration of the examination of the Main Estimates laid before Parliament for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005.
