Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Angus, seconded by the Honourable Senator Andreychuk, for the second reading of Bill C-36, An Act to amend the Canada Pension Plan and the Old Age Security Act.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Angus moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Tkachuk, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce.
