The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources, to which was referred Bill S-209, concerning personal watercraft in navigable waters, met this day at 8:35 a.m. to give clause-by-clause consideration to the bill; and to review the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (1999, c. 33) pursuant to section 343(1) of the said act.

The Chairman: This is a meeting of the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources, which will today give clause-by-clause consideration to Bill S-209, concerning personal watercraft in navigable waters.

I trust that committee members have paid attention to this bill and know what it is about.
