The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day, at 7:05 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Bill Rompkey, P.C., presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Campbell, Cochrane, Comeau, Cowan, Gill, Hubley, and Rompkey, P.C.(8).
In attendance: Claude Emery, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, the committee continued its examination of issues relating to the federal government's new and evolving policy framework for managing Canada's fisheries and oceans.
