The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs met this day at 9:05 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Donald H. Oliver, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Baker, P.C., Cochrane, Comeau, Cowan, Day, Joyal, P.C., Milne, Oliver, Stratton, and Zimmer (10).

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-2, providing for conflict of interest rules, restrictions on election financing and measures respecting administrative transparency, oversight and accountability.
