The Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met this day, at 9:34 a.m., in room 356- S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Consiglio Di Nino, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Cordy, Di Nino, Fraser, Joyal, P.C., Keon, Losier-Cool, Robichaud, P.C., and Smith, P.C. (9).
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliament; James Robertson, Analyst and Michel Bédard, Analyst.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to rule 86(1)(f)(i), the committee considered the notice requirements for questions of privilege.
WITNESS:

Charles Robert, Principal Clerk, Chamber and Procedure Office.
Mr. Robert made a presentation and answered questions.
After debate, it was agreed that this matter be considered at the next meeting.
Pursuant to rule 86(1)(f)(i), the committee considered the reinstatement of bills.

At 10:50 a.m., Mr. Robert made a presentation and answered questions.
After debate, it was agreed that this matter be considered at the next meeting.
The Honourable Senator Andreychuk moved that the committee adopt the following draft budget application for its legislative work for the financial year ending March 31, 2008:
