The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs, to which was referred Bill C-2, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to make consequential amendments to other acts, met this day at 10:04 a.m. to give clause-by-clause consideration to the bill.

The Chair: Honourable senators, welcome to this meeting of the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs. As we noted yesterday, the purpose on the agenda for this meeting is clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-2. Is it agreed that we proceed to clause-by-clause consideration?
