The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day, at 9:30 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Day, Dickson, Finley, Marshall, Murray, P.C., Nolin, Peterson, Poulin, Ringuette and Runciman (10).
In attendance: Lydia Scratch and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; Francine Pressault, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, the committee continued its examination of the expenditures set out in the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, with the exception of Parliament vote 10. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)

The chair made an opening statement.
Mr. Forster made a presentation and, together with Messrs. Sarantakis and Conrad, answered questions.
At 10:34 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 10:37 a.m., the committee resumed.
Mr. Stewart and Mr. Atkinson each made a presentation and, together with Mr. Miller, answered questions.
At 11:33 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
