The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day, at 9:31 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Callbeck, Day, Dickson, Eggleton, P.C., Finley, Gerstein, Marshall, Murray, P.C., Neufeld, Peterson, Ringuette and Runciman (12).
In attendance: John Bulmer and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, the committee began its examination of the expenditures set out in the Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011.

Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat:
David Enns, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Expenditure Management Sector;
Sally Thornton, Executive Director, Expenditure Operations and Estimates Division;
Marcia Santiago, Senior Director, Expenditure Management Sector, Expenditure Operations and Estimates Division.
The chair made an opening statement.
Mr. Enns made a statement and, together with Ms. Thornton and Ms. Santiago, answered questions.
At 11:32 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
