The Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day at 4:31 p.m. in room 9 of the Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Maria Chaput, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Champagne, P.C., Chaput, De Bané, P.C., Fortin- Duplessis, Losier-Cool, Robichaud, P.C., Seidman and Wallace (8).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Fraser (1).
Also present: Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; and Francine Pressault, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.
In attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, the committee continued to study the application of the Official Languages Act and of the regulations and directives made under it.
