Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Wednesday, November 21, 2012:

Second reading of Bill C-24, An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the Republic of Panama, the Agreement on the Environment between Canada and the Republic of Panama and the Agreement on Labour Cooperation between Canada and the Republic of Panama.

The Honourable Senator Finley moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator MacDonald, that the bill be read the second time.

After debate,

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Carignan moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Johnson, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
