The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 5:12 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cochrane, Hubley, Losier-Cool, MacDonald, Manning, Oliver, Patterson, Poirier, Poy and Raine (10).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Watt (1).
In attendance: Claude Emery, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 20, 2011, the committee continued its study on the management of the grey seal population off Canada's East Coast. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)
