The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 5:55 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Elizabeth Hubley, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cochrane, Hubley, MacDonald, Oliver, Patterson, Poirier, Poy and Raine (8).
In attendance: Sarah Jane Fraser, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 8, 2012, the committee continued to examine issues relating to the lobster fishery in Atlantic Canada and Quebec. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 6.)

Sheena Young, Program Director.
Grand Manan Fishermen's Association:
Melanie Sonnenberg, Project Manager;
Bonnie Morse, Project Coordinator.
Fundy Weir Fishermen's Association:
Peter Holland, Manager.
Ms. Recchia made a statement and, together with Ms. Young, Ms. Sonnenberg, Ms. Morse and Mr. Holland, answered questions.
At 7:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
