The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 8:50 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Harb, Hubley, MacDonald, Manning, McInnis, Poirier, Raine and Wells (8).
In attendance: Odette Madore, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, the committee continued its consideration on Bill S-13, An Act to amend the Coastal Fisheries Protection Act. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue no. 13.)

Mr. Caldwell made a statement and answered questions.
At 9:25 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 9:32 a.m., the committee resumed.
