The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 1:30 p.m., in room 356- S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable A. Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Boehm, Bovey, Cordy, Coyle, Dawson, Dean, Greene, Housakos, Massicotte, Ngo and Saint-Germain (13).

In attendance: Constance Naud-Arcand and Scott McTaggart, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, the committee continued its consideration on Bill C-47, An Act to amend the Export and Import Permits Act and the Criminal Code (amendments permitting the accession to the Arms Trade Treaty and other amendments). The chair made a statement.

It was agreed that the committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-47, An Act to amend the Export and Import Permits Act and the Criminal Code (amendments permitting the accession to the Arms Trade Treaty and other amendments).

It was agreed that the chair report the bill, with observations, to the Senate today.

At 1:53 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
