The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 10:31 a.m., in room C128, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable A. Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Boehm, Bovey, Busson, Coyle, Dean, Greene, Massicotte and Ngo (9).
In attendance: Pascal Tremblay and Billy Joe Siekierski, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, the committee continued its study on foreign relations and international trade generally. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 1.)

Heather Jeffrey, Assistant Deputy Minister, Security and Emergency Management;
Reid Sirrs, Director General, Security and Emergency Management, Departmental Security Officer.
The chair made a statement.
Ms. Jeffrey made a statement and, together with Mr. Sirrs, answered questions.
