The Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce met this day at 4:32 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Douglas Black, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Maltais, Marwah, Ringuette, Stewart Olsen, Tannas and Wallin (7).
In attendance: Adriane Yong and Michaël Lambert-Racine, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, November 23, 2017, the committee began its consideration of Bill S-237, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (criminal interest rate).
WITNESS:
