The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 9:32 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Chaput, Day, Eaton, Gerstein, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Maltais, Mockler, Rivard, Smith (Saurel) and Wallace (11).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Raphaëlle Deraspe, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 14, 2015, the committee began its examination of the Supplementary Estimates (A) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.

WITNESSES:

Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat:

Brian Pagan, Assistant Secretary, Expenditure Management Sector;

Marcia Santiago, Executive Director, Expenditure Management Sector.

Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA):

Michael Cautillo, President and CEO;

Linda Hurdle, Chief Financial Administrative Officer.

Mr. Pagan made a statement and, together with Ms. Santiago, answered questions.

At 10:55 a.m., the committee suspended.

At 10:57 a.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Cautillo made a statement and, together with Ms. Hurdle, answered questions.

At 11:30 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
