The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Dennis Dawson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dawson, Eggleton, P.C., Greene, MacDonald, Neufeld, Plett and Unger (7).
In attendance: Alexandre Lavoie, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; Mona Ishack, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, June 4, 2015, the committee began its examination of Bill C-52, An Act to amend the Canada Transportation Act and the Railway Safety Act.
