The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 2:19 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cools, Eaton, Forest, Galvez, Marshall, Mockler, Neufeld, Oh and Woo (9).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Olivier Leblanc-Laurendeau, analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, the committee continued its study on the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 27.)

Wojo Zielonka, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Capital Markets.

Romy Bowers, Chief Risk Officer.

Mr. Beattie made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 2:56 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 2:59 p.m., the committee resumed.

Ms. Lim made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 3:07 p.m., the deputy chair, the Honourable Senator Cools took the chair.

At 3:29 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 3:33 p.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Zielonka and Ms. Bowers each made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 4:20 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
