The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met in camera this day at 6:49 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Cools, Eaton, Forest, Marshall, Mockler, Oh, Omidvar, Pratte and Woo (10).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Sylvain Fleury, analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

It was agreed that senators' staff be authorized to remain in the room during the in camera portion of the meeting.

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).

It was agreed that the chair be authorized to seek authority from the Senate for the order of reference proposed for a study on the Minister of Finance's proposed changes to the Income Tax Act.

At 7:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
