The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 5:09 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Ataullahjan, Christmas, Gold, Greene, Hartling, MacDonald, Manning, McInnis, Munson and Raine (10).
In attendance: Odette Madore, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Chantal Cardinal, Committee Clerk, Committees Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, November 23, 2017, the committee continued its examination of Bill S-238, An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and the Wild Animal and Plant Protection and Regulation of International and Interprovincial Trade Act (importation of shark fins.)
