The Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, to which was referred Bill C-23, An Act respecting the preclearance of persons and goods in Canada and the United States, met this day at 12:02 p.m. to give clause-by-clause consideration to the bill.

The Deputy Chair (Senator Dagenais): Dear colleagues, as agreed we shall now proceed to the clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-23, An Act respecting the preclearance of persons and goods in Canada and the United States.

As I was saying to our clerk, there are a lot of clauses to examine. If senators are agreed we could proceed by studying the clauses in groups of 10. However, if you want to propose amendments to a clause or make comments, we can deal with that clause individually.

Are we agreed to proceed to clause-by-clause study of clauses in groups of 10?
