The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Patricia Bovey, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boisvenu, Bovey, Cormier, Gagné, Galvez, Griffin, MacDonald and Mercer (8).
In attendance: Jed Chong and Zackery Shaver, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, the committee continued its study on emerging issues related to its mandate and ministerial mandate letters. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 33.)

Mr. Saras, Ms. Lauzon, Mr. Côté and Mr. Holmes made statements and, together with Mr. Sonier, answered questions.
At 8:10 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
