The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room W120, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boehm, Dagenais, Duncan, Galvez, Gignac, Loffreda, Mockler, Pate, Smith and Yussuff (10).

Participating in the meeting: Tracy Amendola, Administrative Assistant, Committees Directorate; Shaowei Pu and Sylvain Fleury, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 20, 2022, the committee continued its examination of the subject matter of Bill C-31, An Act respecting cost of living relief measures related to dental care and rental housing.

Dr. Lynn Tomkins, President;

Dr. Aaron Burry, Chief Executive Officer.

Canadian Dental Hygienists Association:

Ondina Love, Chief Executive Officer;

Sylvie Martel, Director of Dental Hygiene Practice.

Lynn Tomkins and Ondina Love each made a statement and, together with Aaron Burry and Sylvie Martel, answered questions.

At 8:46 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
