The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:46 p.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boehm, Dagenais, Duncan, Forest, Galvez, Gignac, Loffreda, Marshall, Mockler, Pate, Shugart, P.C. and Smith (12).

Participating in the meeting: Shaowei Pu and Sylvain Fleury, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the committee continued its examination of the expenditures set out in the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.

The minister made a statement and, together with Mireille Laroche, Annie Boudreau, Karen Cahill, Jean-François Fleury and Rod Greenough, answered questions.

At 8:13 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 8:16 p.m., the committee resumed.

At 8:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
