Pursuant to the order of the Senate of May 5, 2022, the Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, and with videoconference, at 5 p.m. ET, the chair, the Honourable René Cormier, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cormier, Dalphond, Gagné and Mégie (4).
Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Clement, Dagenais, Mockler, Moncion and Poirier (5).
Participating in the meeting: Sara Gajic, Legislative Clerk and Laurie-Anne Spooner, Administrative Assistant, Committees Directorate; Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the committee continued its study of Francophone immigration to minority communities.

Association francophone des municipalités du Nouveau-Brunswick:
Kassim Doumbia, 2nd Vice President of the Board of Directors;
Michelle Barclay, Director of Policy.
Association of Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities:
Annie Girard, Associate, Municipal immigration file.
Kassim Doumbia and Annie Girard each made a statement and answered questions.
At 6:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
