The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration met this day in camera at 9:02 a.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable George J. Furey, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Campbell, Cordy, Downe, Fraser, Furey, Housakos, Lang, LeBreton, P.C., Manning, Marshall, Munson, Smith (Saurel), Tkachuk, Wells and White (15).

Also in attendance: Charles Robert, Clerk of the Senate and Clerk of the Parliaments and Chief Legislative Officer, Michel Patrice, Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel and Chief, Parliamentary Precinct Services and other senior Senate officials.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

At 10 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
