The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 10:30 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Kelvin Kenneth Ogilvie, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Eggleton, P.C., Merchant, Munson, Nancy Ruth, Ogilvie, Raine, Seidman and Stewart Olsen (8).
In attendance: Sonya Norris, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee continued its study on the issue of dementia in our society. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)

Canadian Medical Association:
Dr. Chris Simpson, Past President.
College of Family Physicians of Canada:
Dr. Francine Lemire, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Canadian Geriatrics Society:
Dr. Frank Molnar, Vice-President.
Ms. Pullen, Dr. Simpson and Dr. Lemire each made a statement and, together with Dr. Molnar, answered questions.
At 12:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
