That the Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples have power to sit at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, March 23, 2000, even though the Senate may then be sitting, and that Rule 95(4) be suspended in relation thereto.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

INQUIRIES

The Honourable Senator Cohen called the attention of the Senate to the inquiry standing in the name of the Honourable Senator Lynch-Staunton concerning the Budget presented by the Minister of Finance in the House of Commons on February 28, 2000.

After debate, The Honourable Senator Kinsella moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator DeWare, that further debate on the inquiry be adjourned until the next sitting.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications

The names of the Honourable Senators DeWare and Kroft substituted for those of the Honourable Senators Johnson and Kirby (March 22).

Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology

The name of the Honourable Senator Fairbairn substituted for that of the Honourable Senator Corbin (March 22).
