Other panellists included Lead Economist at the World Bank David McKenzie (left) and Co-director of Migration, Displacement, and Humanitarian Policy at the Center for Global Development Michael Clemens (right).

Friday, June 8 – Senator Yvonne Boyer receives an Honorary Doctorate in Education from Nipissing University. Senator Boyer is the first Métis Ontarian appointed to the Senate. A former nurse and practicing lawyer, she is critical of inequities in Canada’s health-care system when it comes to access and treatment available to Indigenous Peoples.
Tuesday, June 12 – Senator Mobina S. B. Jaffer meets Dr. Lobsang Sangay (middle), President of the Central Tibetan Administration and political successor to His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet. Senator Jaffer’s summer intern, Dorjee (left), has joined the senator’s staff as part of the Canada Tibet Internship Program.
