Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Thursday, October 29, 1998:

The Senate resumed debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Taylor, seconded by the Honourable Senator Poy, for the second reading of Bill S-20, An Act to amend the Act of incorporation of the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of Mackenzie.

After debate,

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The Bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Taylor moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Poy, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
