Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Eaton, seconded by the Honourable Senator Rivard, for the second reading of Bill C-35, An Act to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Eaton moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Meighen, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
