The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 5 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Buth, Demers, Eaton, Mercer, Merchant, Mockler, Nolin, Peterson, Plett, Rivard and Robichaud, P.C. (11).
In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly and Martha Butler, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, the committee continued its consideration of Bill S-11, Safe Food for Canadians Act. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 20)
