The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day, at 8:06 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Buth, Callbeck, Day, Eaton, Finley, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Mockler, Nancy Ruth, Peterson, Ringuette, Runciman and Smith (Saurel) (12).

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, June 21, 2012, the committee began its examination of Bill C-38, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 29, 2012 and other measures.
