The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera this day at 5:17 p.m., in room 505, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Harb, Hubley, MacDonald, Manning, Patterson, Poirier and Raine (7).
In attendance: Sarah Jane Fraser and François Côté, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; and Ceri Au, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 20, 2011, the committee continued its study on the management of the grey seal population off Canada's East Coast. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(f), the committee discussed a draft report.
At 6:35 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 6:40 p.m., the committee resumed.
At 7:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
