The Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights met in camera this day, at 4:05 p.m. in room 160-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Mobina S. B. Jaffer, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Brazeau, Hubley, Jaffer, Ngo, Wallace, White and Zimmer (7).

In attendance: Julian Walker and Martha Butler, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; Ceri Au, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, the committee continued its examination of cyberbullying in Canada with regard to Canada's international human rights obligations under Article 19 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 6.)

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee began its consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed that the draft report be further reviewed by the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure and that it be reconsidered at a future meeting.

At 4:37 p.m., the committee began its consideration of a draft agenda.

At 5:10 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
