The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 10:30 a.m., in room 705, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Kelvin Kenneth Ogilvie, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Braley, Champagne, P.C., Cordy, Demers, Dyck, Eggleton, P.C., Martin, Merchant, Ogilvie, Seidman and Verner, P.C. (11).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Hubley (1).
In attendance: Havi Echenberg and Karin Phillips, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, the committee continued its study on accessibility of post-secondary education in Canada.
Pursuant to rule 92 (2)(f), the committee proceeded in camera to consider a draft report.
At 11:52 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
