The Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce met in camera this day at 4:15 p.m., in room 505, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Irving Gerstein, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Gerstein, Greene, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Maltais, Massicotte, Mockler, Ringuette, Tannas and Tkachuk (10).

In attendance: Adriane Yong and Michaël Lambert-Racine, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, the committee continued its study on the use of digital currency. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 6.)

It was agreed that senators' staff be allowed to stay in the room.

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee continued its consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed that members would review suggested changes to the report using the revised underlined report circulated to members by the chair's office.

It was agreed that Senator Bellemare and her office review and make the necessary editorial and grammatical changes to the French version of report.

At 5:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
