The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 6:52 p.m., in room 356-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Hubley, Manning, McInnis, Munson, Oh, Poirier, Raine, Stewart Olsen and Wells (9).

In attendance: Odette Madore, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, April 23, 2015, the committee began its consideration of Bill C-555, An Act respecting the Marine Mammal Regulations (seal fishery observation licence).

It was agreed that the committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-555, An Act respecting the Marine Mammal Regulations (seal fishery observation licence).

It was agreed that the title stand postponed.

It was agreed that clause 1 carry.

It was agreed that the title carry.

It was agreed that the bill carry.

It was agreed that the chair report the bill to the Senate.

At 6:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
