The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9:32 a.m. for the consideration of a draft budget.

The Chair: There are two items on the agenda this morning: consideration of a draft budget in public, and, in camera, consideration of a draft agenda for future business.

[Translation]

We will start by adopting the budget. We will be able to talk about it in detail in terms of the cities we want to visit for the study. However, we must adopt the budget as soon as possible because the Board of Internal Economy will not be sitting. If we decide that we want to visit other cities, we will be able to do so because it will be within the same budget. Do I have a motion to that effect?

Senator Housakos: I so move.

The Chair: Is anyone opposed?

Some hon. senators: No.

The Chair: The budget is adopted.
