Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Housakos, seconded by the Honourable Senator Fortin-Duplessis, for the second reading of Bill S-4, An Act to amend the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act.

After debate,

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Housakos moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Fortin-Duplessis, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications.
