Extract from the Journals of the Senate, of Wednesday, November 22, 2017:

The order was called for resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Bellemare, seconded by the Honourable Senator Petitclerc, for the second reading of Bill C-60, An Act to correct certain anomalies, inconsistencies and errors and to deal with other matters of a non-controversial and uncomplicated nature in the Statutes of Canada and to repeal certain Acts and provisions that have expired, lapsed or otherwise ceased to have effect.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Bellemare moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Harder, P.C., that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
