Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Thursday, May 10, 2018:

The order was called for resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Sinclair, seconded by the Honourable Senator Mitchell, for the second reading of Bill C-51, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Department of Justice Act and to make consequential amendments to another Act.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Sinclair moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Pratte, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
