The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 5:09 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Elizabeth Hubley, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Hubley, McInnis, Poirier and Stewart Olsen (5).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Dagenais (1).

In attendance: Odette Madore, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the committee continued its study on issues relating to the federal government's current and evolving policy framework for managing Canada's fisheries and oceans.

WITNESSES:

Greg Roach Fisheries Services:

Greg Roach, Contractor — Fisheries Services.

Atlantic Salmon Federation:

R. William (Bill) Taylor, President.

The chair made a statement.

Messrs. Roach and Taylor each made a statement and answered questions.

The Honourable Senator Stewart Olsen moved:

That the committee proceed in camera, pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), to consider of a draft agenda (future business).

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

At 6:27 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 6:30 p.m., the committee resumed in camera, pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), to consider a draft agenda (future business).

At 6:48 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
