The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Michael L. MacDonald, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Black, Boisvenu, Doyle, Eggleton, P.C., Greene, MacDonald, McCoy, Mercer, Plett, Runciman and Unger (12).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Ataullahjan, Mitchell, Mockler and Pratte (4).
In attendance: Jed Chong, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, the committee continued its examination on Bill C-10, An Act to amend the Air Canada Public Participation Act and to provide for certain other measures.

Mr. Cadieux made a statement and, together with Mr. Chartrand, answered questions.
At 10:06 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 10:11 a.m., the committee resumed.
Mr. Howlett made a statement and, together with Mr. Lourenco and Mr. Rheault, answered questions.
At 11:16 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 11:21 a.m., the committee resumed.
It was agreed:
That the committee proceed to clause by clause consideration of Bill C-10, An Act to amend the Air Canada Public Participation Act and to provide for certain other measures.
It was agreed that the title stand postponed.
It was agreed that clause 1 carry, on division.
It was agreed that clause 2 carry, on division.
It was agreed that clause 3 carry, on division.
It was agreed that the title carry, on division.
It was agreed that the Bill carry, on division.
It was agreed that Bill C-10 be reported to the Senate at the earliest opportunity.
At 11:26 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
