The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Dennis Dawson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boisvenu, Bovey, Dagenais, Dawson, Galvez, Greene, Griffin, MacDonald, Maltais and Mercer (10).
In attendance: Jed Chong and Nicole Sweeney, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, the committee continued its examination of the regulatory and technical issues related to the deployment of connected and automated vehicles. Aaron Hoskin, Acting Chief, ecoENERGY for Biofuels, Senior Technical Advisor, Office of Energy Efficiency.
The chair made a statement.
It was moved by the Honourable Senator Dagenais that the Honourable Senator Boisvenu be the new third member of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
Ms. Vieira and Mr. Haslip each made a statement and, together with Mr. Hoskin and Mr. Wickham, answered questions.
At 8:04 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
