The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs met in camera this day at 12:05 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Jean-Guy Dagenais, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Boniface, Dagenais, Jaffer, McIntyre and Richards (5).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Griffin and Wallin (2).
In attendance: Isabelle Lafontaine-Emond, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Karlee Squires, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, the subcommittee continued its study on issues relating to creating a defined, professional and consistent system for veterans as they leave the Canadian Armed Forces. Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the subcommittee considered a draft report.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, February 1, 2016, the subcommittee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families. Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the subcommittee considered a draft agenda (future business).
