The Special Senate Committee on Anti-terrorism met this day at 1:30 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Hugh Segal, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Buth, Dagenais, Dallaire, Day, Frum, Marshall, Segal and Smith, P.C. (Cobourg) (8).
In attendance: Lyne Casavant and Holly Porteous, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 17, 2012, the committee continued its examination of Bill S-9, An Act to amend the Criminal Code. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 4.)

At 2:40 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 2:44 p.m., the committee resumed.
Mr. Tobey made a statement and, together with Mr. Bunn and Mr. Saradzhyan, answered questions.
Mr. Pomper made a statement and answered questions.
At 3:16 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
