The Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce met this day at 1:03 p.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the Honourable Irving Gerstein, Chair, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Baker, P.C., Gerstein, Greene, Harb, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Maltais, Moore, Oliver, Smith (Saurel) and Tkachuk (10).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Segal (1).

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, June 21, 2012, the committee continued its examination of Bill C-11, An Act to amend the Copyright Act.

The committee considered a draft special study budget application (review of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013.

It was agreed that the following special study budget application (review of the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013, be approved, for submission to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration:

Professional and Other Services $ 2,200

Transportation and Communications $ 44,460

All Other Expenditures $ 3,050

TOTAL $ 49,710
